PEOPLE MAKE THE PLACE. FUNDING MAKES IT POSSIBLE.

For the past three years, MFA students who have received Graduate Assistantships (currently 88% of our students) have received 100% funding. Each graduate assistant receives full funding for each of three years: a stipend (salary based on 20 hours of work/week during the academic year), a tuition waiver (free tuition valued at about $35,000 for the 48-credit MFA program), and optional health insurance. We offer opportunities as Graduate Teaching Assistants or Graduate Professional Assistants, based on availability and professional aspirations.

DEEPEN YOUR CREATIVE WRITING EXPERIENCE.

FULLY FUNDED: For the last three years, the MFA Program has been able to fully fund every incoming writer who has been offered a graduate assistantship and enrolled with a full tuition waiver, stipend, and optional health insurance (renewable for each of three years).

NEW OFFERINGS: With our new Graduate Certificate in Publishing Practice, MFA students can earn a terminal art degree and a professional credential to help chart successful paths after graduation. Meanwhile, BFA students can Minor in Dynamic Publishing to complement their undergraduate art program.
