Women Writing Africa is a project of
cultural reconstruction which aims to restore African women’s
voices to the public sphere. This project will make visible the
oral and written expression of African women.

Tom Shroder has been a newspaper journalist since the 1970's, most
of that time with the Washington Post. Currently he edits the Washington
Post Magazine. He has three books, the most recent Old Souls: Compelling
Evidence from Children Who Remember Previous Lives (Simon and Shuster.)

Semezdin Mehmedinovic speaks in the Concert Hall,
Grand Tier III.
Semezdin Mehmedinovic wrote Sarajevo Blues in Bosnia during the
recent war. He remained a citizen of Sarajevo throughout the Serbian
nationalists' siege and was active in the resistance movement. He
is a translator for Voice of America.
