Welcome to the Site of the Week chosen by GMU's Nonfiction Universe. This week's site is the Freedom Forum, a nonpartisan foundation dedicated to free press, free speech, and free spirit for all people. Shelby Coffey III, a Freedom Forum Fellows will be speaking in Meryl Secrest's English 513: Style and Construction nonfiction writing class. His talk will address writing creative nonfiction, the buying and selling of nonfiction, and journalism writing and creative nonfiction.

Brief Bio
Shelby Coffey III was executive vice president at ABC News in New York City before he joined CNN in 1999. Prior to that, he served as editor of the Los Angeles Times. Earlier he held editorial positions with the Dallas Times Herald, U.S. News & World Report, and The Washington Post.
