Volunteer Fairfax

Volunteer Fairfax is seeking an intern to help work with its newletters.  As a community resource for volunteerism and community involvement, Volunteer Fairfax does a lot of writing.  They have a bi-weekly electronic newsletter full of useful tips and resources for our 700 nonprofit members, a monthly electronic newsletter for our large corporate sponsors, and a quarterly newsletter for the entire community.  Volunteer Fairfax also seeks help on their annual report, Web site updates, and press releases.  This is great exposure to many different types of publications.

As a respected leader of community volunteerism, Volunteer Fairfax works to connect volunteers with more than 700 organizations. Last year, we posted over 10,000 volunteer opportunities for the region. We provide opportunities for individuals, nonprofits, and corporations through a variety of programs. These programs include Volunteers for Change, ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program, BusinessLink, and VolunteerFest®.

For internships with the Volunteer Fairfax and their vast network of organizations contact Mary-Litton Thornton mthornton@volunteerfairfax.org
