Description:
Assist with creation of VR training manuals.

1) Develop, in conjunction with VR Manager, a training manual that highlights best practices in the field of volunteer management and provides WWC volunteer supervisors with WWC volunteer policies. Perform research on best practices in volunteer management (needs assessment, recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, retention/recognition, evaluation) utilizing VR resources and the Internet. Edit, proof and layout materials.

2) Update existing manual given to volunteers at Basic Training featuring information on WWC, HIV/AIDS and LGBT health information, relevant volunteer policies, and supplemental information related to workshop topics. Perform research utilizing VR resources and the Internet. Edit, proof and layout materials.

Special Qualifications:
Excellent research, writing, editing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint), detail-orientation and strong organizational skills.

Training: Program-specific training will be provided.

Hours: Weekdays (Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays preferred) if at Downtown Campus.

Location: This position may work from home (preferred) or the Downtown Campus (1407 S Street, NW).

Minimum Commitment:full semester
