Position Title |
125th Anniversary Volunteer Intern |
Purpose |
Support the
efforts of the American Red Cross in celebrating its’ 125th
Anniversary during 2006. |
Key Responsibilities
|
The Communication and Marketing department is responsible
for developing and executing many high profile anniversary events being
planned to recognize and celebrate the 125th anniversary of
the inception of the American Red Cross, including a young professionals
party, an art show featuring 24 of today’s most recognized artists, an
exhibit on advertising at a nationally recognized museum, to name but
a few. Many other exciting events are being planned
to be held throughout the country in 2006. Internship duties in support of the 125th
anniversary will include:
§
Extensive research into companies and individuals
§
Writing letters and requests for donations
§
Dealing directly with individuals in the art and
entertainment world
§
Working with the Public Relations team to increase
visibility
§
Communicating with local chapters about involvement
in 125th events Willingness to support Red Cross Mission |

and Marketing department staff, staff from Red Cross chapters throughout

Qualifications
|
Degree-seeking student majoring in a Communication
or Marketing discipline.
