VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION

Location: American Red Cross National Headquarters Position Title: Development Communication and Marketing Volunteer Intern Purpose: We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated junior or senior interested in a career in Public Relations. The student should be a communications major or a major in another related field. The candidate should have strong writing skills and be able to work well within a team. Prior experience in journalism or PR is a plus. This internship will support the Development Communications group, which supports the communications needs of the Red Cross fundraising department. The intern would assist with internal and external communications and complete one independent project during the semester. The participating student can earn three (3) hours worth of credit towards graduation, plus gain valuable work experience and references that only the American Red Cross can offer. materials Relationships Qualifications • Degree-seeking student, preferably in a Communication or Marketing
discipline.
