The Hispanic Committee of Virginia |
| We are interested in the possibility of working with an intern in our
Department of Development, on the publication of our organization’s
Annual Report and Newsletter. Previous issues may be found on our web site
at http://www.hcva.org/English/Publications.html.
As our newsletter is published in both Spanish and English, Spanish language
skills are helpful, but not required. The Hispanic Committee of Virginia (HCV) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, non-partisan organization offering programs and services that enable Hispanic immigrants to more fully participate in and contribute to American society. It is the oldest and largest non-profit organization in the Commonwealth of Virginia that was specifically founded to serve the Hispanic immigrant community. Since 1967 we have been a source of strength for the community, treating people with dignity, listening carefully to how we can help, and enabling them to get results for themselves. We offer social services, immigration, youth & adult education, employment, microenterprise training, homebuying counseling, and information & referral, as well as volunteer opportunities. Though the organization focuses on Hispanic immigrants because of the background and training of staff, services are not denied to anyone in need. We have three full-time offices and four satellite offices throughout Northern Virginia. (The intern would work at our headquarters, located in the Bailey’s Crossroads area of Falls Church. The complete address follows below my signature line.) For more detailed information, visit our web site at www.hcva.org. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information. Thank you very much for your assistance! Wishing you a great day, Marisa Martineau Executive Office Coordinator Hispanic Committee of Virginia 5827 Columbia Pike, Suite 200 Falls Church, VA 22041 Tel.
