I would like to request a public relations intern for Volunteer Fairfax. We need an intern who will interview various corporate partners to learn more about their volunteer programs and write up stories for our Corporate Volunteer Spotlight in a corporate newsletter. This is a great opportunity to interview and write about some big companies in the area such as Booz Allen, AT&T, Northrop Grumman, etc. We also need help in writing 3 newsletters, an electronic newsletter to nonprofits about various tips, trainings, and news; an electronic newsletter to groups and corporate partners about volunteer opportunities available for the month; and the center's newsletter to our donors, friends, and volunteers. We also have a variety of press releases that we need help with as well as printed material for our annual Volunteer Service Awards breakfast. This position provides the opportunity to experience many different writing styles and vehicles. Also, since we have a small staff, this will be a very hands-on internship.
